Our 8.6 BLK ammunition in these loadings is a little different in that rather than 6.5 Creedmoor brass we use 308 Winchester brass. Primarily because the world cannot get enough 6.5 Creedmoor brass as it is so we cannot bring ourselves to reduce the availability. What that means for us as a manufacturer is that we have to spend a lot more time preparing the brass. Converted 308 brass typically has about 2cc less space as compared to the 6.5CM and 308 brass tends to be much thicker than 6.5CM along the entire case length. At the end of the day we have had excellent results with our converted brass, our process for conversion and the resulting loads.
